Welcome to CIS455.XYZ (“the Site”), a technology news service operated by Bolu Technologies. By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) in your profile. You must be at least 13 years old to register. One account per person; accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

2. Community features: comments and chat

Signed-in users may post comments on articles and participate in the Community Chat. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display your content on the Site. You agree not to post content that is: unlawful, harassing, hateful, or threatening; spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising; sexually explicit material involving minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities); infringing on others’ intellectual property; or designed to disrupt the Site (flooding, scripts, bots).

We moderate the community for everyone’s safety. We may remove content, hide messages, restrict chat access, or suspend/terminate accounts at our discretion, with or without notice. Automated systems and our team review reported and flagged content.

3. Ask CIS (AI assistant)

The Site offers “Ask CIS,” an AI-powered news assistant. It answers based on recent headlines and general knowledge; it can make mistakes. It is for informational purposes only — not professional, financial, medical, or legal advice. Do not share sensitive personal information with it. Conversations may be logged to improve safety and quality.

4. News content

Articles on the Site are excerpted from third-party publishers with attribution and links to the originals. We do not claim ownership of publisher content. All other Site design, text, and graphics are owned by Bolu Technologies or its licensors.

5. Acceptable use & security

You agree not to: attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems; probe for vulnerabilities except through responsible disclosure to us; interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the Site; or use automated tools to scrape the Site at abusive rates. We actively monitor for suspicious activity (such as brute-force login attempts) and may block abusive IPs or networks.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile; deletion removes your public profile but some records (e.g., security logs) may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service or the accuracy of news excerpts or AI-generated answers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be noted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
