Governments need modern solutions to serve the public while keeping sensitive information under their control. Open models provide a path forward, letting governments evaluate them, adapt them to local languages and public services, run them on infrastructure they control, apply their own safeguards and keep sensitive data within controlled environments. Some open models go further, with the datasets they were trained on published so governments can verify if training data was licensed, biased or compliant. NVIDIA partners and European governments are teaming to bring advanced models to boost the efficiency of public administration while retaining control of data and infrastructure. Several are also building editions of the NVIDIA Nemotron-Personas collection , the partner-grounded datasets behind NeMo User Sim , NVIDIA’s open source library for population-scale user simulation that dynamically evaluates and trains models and agents in local languages. European Commission: Scaling Governed AI Applications
Berlin-based software company deepset is expanding its Haystack Enterprise Platform , the foundation of AI@EC, the European Commission’s shared platform for building and running AI applications on commission-managed infrastructure. The update connects agent development, execution, optimization and governance for all customers, adding capabilities to compare operating costs, evaluate answer quality and trace problems. NVIDIA Triton Inference Server supports the shared services used to find and rank relevant information. The expansion builds on operating requirements demonstrated by deployments such as AI@EC, where reusable components, role-based access, audit trails and guardrails support applications including document summarization, knowledge management and multilingual policy analysis. Poland: Advanced Computing for Healthcare and Employment
Deloitte is helping Poland build agentic systems for healthcare and employment services using open models. Poland’s eHealth Centre is building its Intelligent Services Platform for medical imaging with NVIDIA DGX BasePOD and the MONAI framework. The tool will help physicians analyze X-rays, CT scans and MRI images, detect abnormalities and prioritize urgent cases, reducing the time patients wait for results. With Deloitte’s support, Poland’s Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy is developing an agentic factory on NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure. Designed to support more than 400 labor offices, it will run models including PLLuM, GPT OSS and Inkling for document search, summarization and digital assistants, helping staff more efficiently assist job seekers. NVIDIA is also working with SpeakLeash in Poland and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia on country-specific additions to its synthetic personas program, with localized datasets planned to follow. UK: Data for Locally Relevant Advanced Modeling
London-based Locai Labs released Nemotron-Personas-UK , a dataset of 1 million synthetic personas reflecting the U. K.’ s demographic and geographic diversity while reducing privacy risk. Potential uses include healthcare evaluation and bias testing across age groups, education levels and rural and urban populations. For developers building public-service models, it offers a way to test whether models work consistently across different communities…
